They don't make them like this anymore (men, that is)

A series of events (more like two) earlier today led me to search for photography reminiscent of the times when men were still gentlemen; when common courtesy was the norm and not something to be debated. It's 2011 and I still wish the door to be held open for me by a man. I'm not saying that if you're some distance away from me I expect you to run and open the door for me. All I'm saying is that it's very nice to hold the door if I'm right behind you. That's all. Where has the chivalry gone?

Perhaps gifting the men in our lives with something from the past will help us retain the little chivalry that remains.

I picked out excellent vintage items from the 1940s-1980s on etsy. Click on each picture and it will automatically direct you to the etsy shop where you can purchase it from.
